KELOWNA – While the official count isn’t in yet, organizers of the 19th Annual BMO Okanagan Marathon and Family Festival were hoping for over 3,000 participants.

The event attracts people from around the world because it’s a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

The big event is the Okanagan Marathon on Sunday, but Saturday’s Friendship Run was a big hit this year.

People were having a great time and that feeling was reflected on the various social media platforms.
