KELOWNA – Bernard Avenue’s westbound lane between Burtch Road and Lakeview Street will be closed for water system and road upgrades beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 9, until August.
The eastbound lane and the intersection of Bernard Avenue and Burtch Road will remain open at this time.
On-street parking will not be permitted within the project limits during construction.
Motorists should plan to use detour routes along Clement Avenue, Mountain Avenue or Highway 97.
Pedestrians and cyclists are also encouraged to take alternate routes due to uneven surfaces.
The City of Kelowna appreciates the patience of residents, businesses and motorists during construction and asks those traveling through the area to respect traffic signage and safety personnel.
