KELOWNA – Starting Monday, May 9 until Thursday, May 19, Springfield Road from Benvoulin Road to Ziprick Road will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for road resurfacing. All lanes will be reopened after 5 p.m.
Weather permitting, daytime paving will occur on May 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Work on the intersection of Springfield Road and Dilworth Drive is anticipated during the evening hours between 6 p.m. and midnight on May 26.
Motorists can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during construction. Those traveling through the construction area are asked to obey signage and onsite traffic safety personnel.
The City of Kelowna appreciates the patience of residents, businesses and motorists while road work is underway.
The City’s Pavement Management Program prioritizes the repair and extends the life of existing city roads. This year’s program includes 11 road segments and more than 8 kilometres of resurfacing.
