New playground for Joe Rich

By the end of November, a new playground structure will be in place for visitors to Joe Rich Community Park.

The park will be closed from Monday, October 5th until approximately November 30th so crews can remove the existing wooden equipment and tire swing, complete required excavation work and install the new playground equipment.

A new woodchip safety surface will also be put in place for the expanded playground area.

During construction, the washroom facility at the park will remain open.

The park is located next to the Joe Rich Community Hall and Fire Hall/Station 51 at 11481 Highway 33.
