With hunting season underway, the Regional District of Central Okanagan reminds everyone that its regional parks are protected areas.
In the past few years, there have been a number of new properties acquired and added to the Regional Park system.
Johns Family Nature Conservancy, Goats Peak and Black Mountain/sntsk‘il’nt?n are all closed to the public while management plans are developed and amenities are added.
Under the Regional Parks Regulation Bylaw No. 1105, motorized vehicles, firearms or other weapons are not allowed within any regional park.
Violators could receive a bylaw violation fine ranging from $75 to $500.
The Regional District thanks everyone for respecting our park closures and protected park areas.
