The City of Kelowna and design consultants TRUE Consulting and MMM Group/Alta Planning are preparing concept designs for two new Active Transportation Projects along Ethel Street and Dilworth Drive.
The public is invited to view the concept designs and provide feedback at two open houses.
When: Tuesday, June 10 & Wednesday, June 11
Time: 3:30 – 7 p.m.
Where: Parkinson Recreation Center, 1800 Parkinson Way
The Ethel Street project will run from Clement Avenue to Raymer Avenue, and the Dilworth Drive project will run between the Rails with Trails pathway and mid-block between Springfield Road and Mayer Road to link with the Mission Creek Greenway.
Both projects fall within the 2020 Capital Plan for completion, with a section of Ethel expected to begin construction in 2015. The corridors will feature one-way cycle tracks on each side of the road, physically separated from road surfaces and sidewalks.
