Kelowna Rockets shutout Giants in Vancouver

VANCOUVER – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 4-0 on Friday night in Vancouver in the first of two games this weekend for the Rockets.

Michael Herringer posted the shutout, making 29 saves in the win, his second shutout of the season, as the Rockets improved to 48-10-3-1 on the season.

Gage Quinney led the way offensively with a goal and two assists, while Rodney Southam had a goal and one helper.

Leon Draisaitl scored his 13th of the season since joining the Rockets and rookie Dillon Dube scored his 16th of the season.

Kelowna will return to home ice on Saturday when the Calgary Hitmen come to Prospera Place for a 7 p.m. start.
