TV Blog Buzz: New ‘Walking Dead’ villains; ‘Girls’ preview; Oprah/Ellen rap feud

TORONTO – With the show on hiatus until February, “The Walking Dead” fans are trying to piece together who Rick and the gang might be facing off against in their next inevitable battle.

If the TV show continues to follow the plotlines of the “Walking Dead” comics, the next villain might be a character named Negan, who leads a gang called the Saviors.

But there’s another theory floating around online.

As reported by io9, some fans think the TV show’s producers have been dropping hints for some time about a group called the Whisperers, who walk around wearing zombie skin to avoid being tracked by the undead.

After a long, bitter feud it looks like Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher may be calling a truce in time for the “Two and a Half Men” send-off.

The one-time ratings champ is going off the air for good in February, and The Wrap reports Kutcher may have hinted on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that Sheen could pop up as a guest star.

“I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it,” Kutcher said. But his body language suggested Sheen will indeed return to the show he launched.

The actors have frequently traded barbs in recent years.

Early this year, Sheen tweeted at Kutcher: “Quit barfing on my old brilliant show. Remember ‘Punk’d? How duz it feel?”

On the “Conan” show in October, Kutcher said he’d tuned Sheen out.

“I just kind of stopped listening to things that Charlie Sheen says,” Kutcher told host Conan O’Brien. “Charlie Sheen has become like a parent on Charlie Brown to me. It’s more like, ‘Wah wah wah.’”

“Girls” returns for its fourth season on HBO on Jan. 11 and a new preview posted to YouTube suggests relationship woes will be a re-occuring theme — no surprise there.

In the teaser clip, Lena Dunham’s character Hannah asks boyfriend Adam (Adam Driver) about going over “the plan” and then appears to be moving out.

It also looks like Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and Ray (Alex Karpovsky) might be giving it another shot, while Marnie (Allison Williams) is frustrated with her new guy.

One of the most-subscribed channels on YouTube is ERB, or Epic Rap Battles.

The channel’s latest comedic hit is a rap battle between talk show hosts Ellen and Oprah (no, it’s not the real Ellen and Oprah, but actresses playing caricatures of them).

In the first couple of days online the video quickly surpassed 4.5 million views.
