TORONTO – The Amber Alert issued by Niagara Regional Police in southern Ontario this morning has been cancelled.
Police say two little girls, Ekaterina Martinovs, 5, and Anastasia Martinovs, 3, have been “successfully” located and reunited with their father.
Their mother, Julia Martinovs, 29, has been taken into custody and police say their investigation in continuing.
Police say an officer located a vehicle they had been searching for in the parking lot of a Niagara Falls motel, and that led to the whereabouts of the children.
Police had alleged the girls were taken from their grandmother`s residence late Friday afternoon by their mother, who doesn`t have legal custody of the children.
