VANCOUVER – A firebug may have struck again in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.
Flames broke out in bleachers near a concession stand in Brockton Oval at about 12:45 a.m., sending thick smoke drifting over the park and nearby Coal Harbour.
Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze.
They are now trying to determine the exact cause.
There’s no word, yet, on the extent of the damage.
Several arsons have occurred in the park this year, including one on June 22 that destroyed the station at the popular miniature train attraction. (News1130, CKNW)
