COQUITLAM, B.C. – Stacy Lewis is the third-round clubhouse leader at the Canadian Women’s Open.
Lewis fired a sizzling 6-under-par 66 today and now sits at 7-under 209. Her round included four birdies and an eagle three on the par-5 10th hole.
Lewis, a 27-year-old from Toledo, Ohio, is in contention after three rounds for the second straight year. She and Michelle Wie finished as runners-up to last year’s champion Brittany Lincicome.
Lewis also excelled at another LPGA tournament in Canada earlier this year. She tied for fifth at the Manulife Financial Classic in June.
Jessica Shepley of Oakville, Ont., the lone Canadian remaining in the field, shot a 2-under 70. She sits at 1-over 217 after three rounds.
