WINNIPEG – Coach Paul LaPolice isn’t saying who will start as quarterback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in their first home game next week.
Alex Brink completed only nine of 34 passes Wednesday as the Bombers fell to 0-4, losing 25-22 to the Toronto Argonauts. Brink was replacing the injured Buck Pierce, who is out of action for the next month.
LaPolice says he’ll watch the game film before he makes his decision.
He says Brink made one nice throw to Clarence Denmark but was also banged up a little in the groin area.
Joey Elliott was Brink’s backup against Toronto.
The already lengthy Bomber injury list grew with the addition of receiver Terrence Edwards, safety Ian Logan and defensive lineman Brandon Collier.LaPolice says Collier could be gone long-term.
