TORONTO – Toronto Argonauts kicker Swayze Waters will don a new number this season.

Waters has switched his jersey number to 34 from 30 in memory of Tait Hendrix, a close friend who died last week in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27.

Waters, 27, a native of Jackson, Miss., missed some time at the Argos’ training camp to attend Hendrix’s funeral and even spoke to those assembled.

Waters was back practising with the Argos last weekend.

The six-foot, 180-pound Waters is entering his third season with Toronto.
