3 people including cop shot in Vancouver after gunfire erupts outside coffee shop
VANCOUVER – Three people including a police officer have been injured in separate incidents of gunfire in Vancouver after a shooting outside a downtown coffee shop.
Police responded to reports of shots fired at about 11 a.m. today and found a woman had been shot and seriously wounded.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital as police followed a man believed to be responsible for the mayhem.
Sgt. Randy Fincham says the man and an officer were injured when they exchanged shots several blocks away.
He says a suspect has been arrested.
The shooting is the second involving a woman in Vancouver since Sunday.
