Cy Young winning pitcher Bob Welch, hurler for Dodgers, Oakland As, dies at 57

SEAL BEACH, Calif. – The Oakland Athletics say Cy Young-winning pitcher Bob Welch has died.

The team says in a statement the two-time All-Star died in Seal Beach, California, on Monday night. He was 57. The team says a cause of death was unavailable.

Welch also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
