Texas A&M finished 21-15 overall with a 10-5 record at home during the 2023-24 season. The Aggies averaged 6.9 steals, 3.0 blocks and 9.3 turnovers per game last season.

Lamar went 13-7 in Southland play and 5-10 on the road a season ago. The Cardinals shot 45.0% from the field and 34.6% from 3-point range last season.
