City Park basketball court closure

The City of Kelowna is removing the hoops in City Park’s basketball court later this week. The court was partially closed in September and will now be fully closed due to unsafe conditions caused by tree roots creating an uneven playing surface.

City staff has assessed the situation and repairs are anticipated to be completed by spring 2015.

The public is advised to not enter the court until repairs have been made. Basketball players are asked to be patient and to take advantage of one of the City’s seven other public basketball courts located in neighbourhood parks.
