KELOWNA – Following several upgrades to the approach to the 8 Mile Curve of Highway 33, Lake Country residents and visitors will now benefit from road resurfacing and safety improvements between Muir Road and Mills Road.
The upgrades, scheduled to be completed by the end of October, include upgraded traffic signals, pedestrian countdown timers at controlled intersections, and pedestrian bump-outs at Rutland, Roxby, Asher, and Dougall roads. The $3.4-million contract has been awarded to Lafarge Canada Inc. from West Kelowna.
