Highlights of March 27 Kelowna city council meeting

Marina at the Eldorado
Council approved a development permit for the form and character of a marina service building at Okanagan Marina in front of the Eldorado Hotel. The proposed marina building will replace two older buildings that are in need of repair.

Capri Landmark
Council received details of the scope, timeline and engagement approach for the Capri-Landmark Urban Centre Plan and endorsed proceeding with the long-term planning initiative. More information, including upcoming engagement opportunities, is available at kelowna.ca/planningprojects.

2016 development report
Council received information about the 2016 Development Statistics Summary Report, which provides an overview of new developments that were issued building permits in 2016. Last year was characterized by growth in both commercial and residential development, but relatively low activity in institutional and industrial development.
