Highlights of March 6 Kelowna city council meeting

Transit Service workshop
Council received a workshop about the process staff are following to develop standards and measurements to guide the provision of transit service, and approved staff’s recommended plan, including public engagement activities.

Temporary farm worker housing
Council received details on proposed updates to the temporary farm worker housing policy, which adheres to provincial standards and provides a consistent approach across the Central Okanagan, and directed staff to prepare the necessary bylaw amendments for consideration.

Organization Development grants
Council approved the 2017 Guidelines for the Organization Development Grant program. The 2017 Guidelines expand grant eligibility to include cultural, sport, event, social service and other organizations that have a funding or working relationship with the City. The application deadline is May 5.
