Celebrate the holidays with family-friendly events in Kelowna

Swim or skate with some of your favourite holiday friends at two upcoming events put on by the City of Kelowna’s Active Living and Culture division.

Enjoy fun family games and activities at the annual Swim with Santa at Parkinson Recreation Centre on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Kids can have their photo taken with the jolly man underwater and enjoy plenty of holiday games and activities. Photos are complimentary for pass holders or with the purchase of a daily pool pass and will be emailed to participants.

The annual Family Holiday Skate is coming up on Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Rutland Arena from 3 to 5:15 p.m.

Enjoy free skating, face painting for the kids and hot chocolate and refreshments courtesy of Tim Hortons. Skate rentals are available, don’t forget to bring helmets. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or donation for the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank for admission.
