NEW YORK – “Queer Eye”‘s Canadian breakout star Antoni Porowski is releasing a cookbook.
The Montreal native has signed a deal to publish his first collection with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
The U.S. publisher says the book will consist of 100 recipes and be published in spring 2019. It will be distributed in Canada by Raincoast Books.
They say book will approach food with the same simple and healthy approach he takes on the Netflix reboot.
Porowski stars as one of the Fab Five experts on “Queer Eye,” where he doles out food and wine tips to hapless men seeking a lifestyle makeover.
His culinary background includes working in restaurants in Montreal and New York City, and as a personal chef to original “Queer Eye” star Ted Allen.
The self-taught chef has been among the show’s most popular stars, but also one of its most divisive. He’s rattled some critics for dishes that appear too simple for their tastes.
The Polish-Canadian Porowski appeared to take the digs in stride while touting his upcoming book on Twitter.
“Avocado-stuffed pierogies for everyone!!!” he tweeted Monday from his verified Twitter account.
