US to help Jamaica police probe slayings of 2 missionaries
KINGSTON, Jamaica – U.S. law enforcers will help Jamaican police investigate the unsolved slayings of two American missionaries who were shot over the weekend.
The bodies of Randy Hentzel and Harold Nichols were found in bushes in the north coast Jamaican region where they lived and worked for years.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force said Thursday that no motive has been established and it has accepted help from U.S. investigators.
U.S. officials earlier said the FBI and other agencies might help in the effort.
The slain men and their wives worked for a Pennsylvania-based ministry called Teams for Medical Missions.
Hentzel was from Donnellson, Iowa. Nichols hailed from Randolph, New York.
