Possible drowning in downtown Kelowna

KELOWNA – A man was pulled from Okanagan Lake in downtown Kelowna this morning.

Calls about man floating in the water near the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort sent ambulance paramedics to the scene at around 11 a.m., Oct. 17, according to Global Okanagan report.

The man underwent CPR for about 40 minutes before he was transported to Kelowna General Hospital, the report says.

A telecommunications operator with the RCMP says media calls will not be returned by an officer and a statement will be released at some point in the future.

More to come.
