COPENHAGEN – Police say four people were injured when a gas explosion shattered windows and wrecked several apartments in a housing complex north of Copenhagen.
Firefighters had rushed to the scene in Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen, after reports of a strong gas smell. They evacuated the place shortly before the blast in the basement of the building.
Police said three of those wounded had been discharged while one remained hospitalized after Friday’s pre-dawn explosion. More than 50 people were evacuated, officials said.
