Wanted man taken into custody in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Several RCMP vehicles swarmed the Uplands Apartments complex Thursday evening and took a man into custody.

About half a dozen cop cars were seen on Columbia Street and First Avenue just before 9 p.m. Thursday, April 9. Officers with guns drawn appeared to focus on one unit in the apartment complex.

At least one person was taken into custody and RCMP officers on the scene confirmed Waylon Faulhafer, who police were looking for earlier in the day in connection with a stolen vehicle and outstanding warrants, was taken into custody.

No one was hurt in the incident, which took about half an hour to unfold.

  1. I think that using the term “cop cars” on mainstream media shows disrespect. I would expect a news agency to have higher standards than they showed here.
