RCMP on hunt for dangerous man wanted in West Kelowna

Police are asking for help locating a man who’s wanted for violent crimes.

A B.C.-wide warrant has been issued for Tyler Jack Newton, who is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and using an imitation firearm, according to an RCMP press release issued today, Oct. 6.

The charges are related to an incident in West Kelowna in December of 2021. RCMP did not release any details about the incident.

RCMP have not provided an age or description of the wanted man.

RCMP say if you spot Newton, do not approach him and instead call 911.
