54-40 to rock Sicamous at Monashee Music Festival this weekend

The iconic rock/alternative Canadian band 54-40 is performing at the first Monashee Music Festival in Sicamous this weekend.

The inaugural two-day festival is featuring a 100% Canadian lineup of stars and up-and-coming indie talents on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23.

54-40, known for hits like Ocean Pearl, I Go Blind and One Day in Your Life will be performing on the Friday, while B.C. Country Music Association artist of the year, Tyler Joe Miller performs on Saturday.

54-40 was recently inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame and played to sell-out crowds since the early 80s, while Tyler Joe Miller made a name for himself with Single of the Year for Sometimes I Do.

Monashee Music Festival is also featuring 16 bands with DJ Sutton, Tequila Cowboy, and Tracey Dawne, and it's a fundraiser for Mamas for Mamas.
