iN VIDEO: Penticton shop local promotion has merchants doing a happy dance

People who shop locally are giving merchants in Penticton lots of reasons to celebrate.

“When you buy from a small business, an actual person does a happy dance,” Aaron Gaba,11, says in the introduction of the latest Love Local Penticton video.

Viewers are then taken into nine local businesses for a montage of staff doing a happy dance.

Gaba is well known as the social media pitchman for his family’s business Global Grocers.

Love Local Penticton shines a light on small businesses and shares positive stories from around town.

The businesses featured, in order of appearance, are Sirius Science and Nature, Global Grocers Penticton, Something Pretty Boutique, The Bumwrap, Localmotive Low Waste Market, Red Bag, Soda Creek Soap Co., Eskala Mountain Sports, and Meeples and Milkshakes Board Game Cafe.
