A Canada-wide recall has been issued for a popular brand of peanut butter as there's potential it's contaminated with salmonella.
J. M. Smucker Co. announced a voluntary recall, May 21, of select Jif products sold in Canada due to potential salmonella contamination.

Healthy people infected with salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers, according to the news release.
This recall is being conducted with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
"Based on the information known to date, we are unable to estimate the financial impact of the recall either on our fiscal year ended April 30, 2022, or on our current fiscal year 2023. We will provide additional information as soon as possible," according to the company.
