One dead in Kamloops car crash this morning

One woman is dead after a single vehicle collision in Kamloops this morning.

The vehicle left the road near Walmart on Notre Dame Drive, where it crashed in the plaza parking lot, according to Kamloops RCMP.

Its sole occupant was found to be dead at the scene, and police say there is no criminality suspected.

“Based on the preliminary evidence …, it does not appear the cause of the crash is criminal in nature,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson said.

Kamloops RCMP responded to the crash today, May 5, around 8:30 a.m., along with the B.C. Coroners Service.
