Man identified in connection to alleged Kamloops assault of youth

The Kamloops RCMP have identified a suspect involved in an alleged assault of a teenager from earlier this month.

Police received a report, March 5, that a female youth was assaulted while waiting for a bus on 6th Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the youth, boarded the bus and sat near her, then exited alone on Tranquille Road near Leigh Road, according to the RCMP.

The Kamloops RCMP asked for the public's help to identify the man and reported this morning March 20, that an identity has been confirmed, helping to further the investigation.

The suspect was described as a 40-year-old man, with grey, balding hair, and was scarred with broken knuckles.
