
70 new COVID cases in Interior Health region
There were 341 new COVID-19 cases in B.C. in the past 24 hours, 70 of which were recorded in the Interior Health region.
There were 83 new cases in the Fraser Health region, 98 on Vancouver Island, 29 in Northern Health and 61 in Vancouver Coastal, according to a news release issued by the Province of B.C. today, Dec. 9.
There were nine more deaths, one of which was in the Interior Health region, bringing the provincial total to 2,378.
There are 2,915, active cases with 220 B.C. residents in hospital, of which 73 are in intensive care.
The vaccination rate for those aged 12 and over with at least one dose is 91.4% while 88.3% of B.C. residents have two doses. There are 12% of B.C. residents who have received a third dose.
