Climb Knox Mountain from the comfort of your car

KELOWNA – Nature lovers rejoice. Scenic Knox Mountain Drive reopens this weekend.

As of Sunday, the winter gate to the first lookout will be open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays. The gate past the first lookout is scheduled to be opened within a couple of weeks.

Although hikers and bikers can continue past the first gate, the road will not be open to vehicles until temperatures no longer fall below zero.

Dog owners are required to keep pets leashed while in the park but are encouraged to visit the off-leash park at the base of Knox Mountain Drive.

Knox Mountain Park is open daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
