More than 100 property owners near the Coquihalla will no longer have to worry about wildfire.
Evacuation alerts in Electoral Area N (Beautiful Nicola Valley-South), for 133 properties have been rescinded to all clear as the threat of wildfire in the area no longer poses an imminent risk to the safety of residents, according to the Thompson Nicola Regional District's press release.
The July Mountain wildfire, burning along Highway 5, is currently being held, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service, meaning the fire is not expected to grow outside of its existing boundaries. Last week, all evacuation orders due to the fire were downgraded to alerts.
