Kamloops RCMP seeking more information on van used in Tuesday robbery

Kamloops RCMP are looking to the public for more information on a van that was used in a Tuesday morning robbery.

The blue Plymouth van was found burning in Riverside Park on the morning of Aug. 3 and three people were arrested shortly after. It was used to flee after a robbery on the 1300-block of Battle Street on Aug. 3, around 10:42 a.m.

Police are continuing their investigation and asking the public for more information on the van's movements on Aug. 2 and 3, with particular interest on who may have been associated with the van.

The van was stolen from the 500-block of Munro Street overnight between Aug. 1 and 2.

“If you saw this van driving around town, stopped at a light, or saw some people coming or going from it, please give us a call,” Const. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson, said in the release. “If you have any dash cam or surveillance you can review to see if it appears in the footage, it may be helpful in assisting police to further the investigation.”

It's described as a blue 1994 Plymouth motorhome with fading paint on the passenger door and B.C. license plate "BUSWHO."

There are three solar panels on the roof, three metal bars that were once used for the awning.

If you witnessed anything related to this investigation, you can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-26688.
