Frank’s RedHot seasoning recalled in B.C.

A recall has been issued for Frank's RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning sold in Canada, including B.C., due to possible Salmonella contamination.

McCormick Canada, which owns the Frank's RedHot brand, is recalling the 153 gram bottles of the seasoning with a best before date of Sept. 6, 2022, according to an announcement from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Bottles that are potentially contaminated have been distributed to B.C. and at least five other provinces across Canada, according to the announcement on July 27.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but symptoms can include fever, headaches, vomiting and diarrhea.
