Okanagan communities have chance to win arena upgrade
THOMPSON-OKANAGAN- Local hockey clubs have the chance to win arena upgrades in a contest designed to improve and encourage hockey communities across the country.
Several hockey communities across the Okanagan have been been nominated by the public for a chance to be one of 16 communities in Canada to get $100,000 in arena upgrades. People can vote online for their community of choice starting Saturday, Mar. 8.
Teams are submitting photos and blog posts in support of their towns, organizations and sport.
The contest is put on by Kraft, as an initiative to promote community support, local sports, and show passion for hockey.
