Empty West Kelowna mobile home damaged in fire

A fire at the Paradise Mobile Home Park Saturday afternoon left an empty mobile home seriously damaged, but no injuries were reported.

West Kelowna fire crews found heavy fire conditions in the carport attached to a mobile home when they arrived.

"The fire was quickly suppressed, but the carport is a total loss and the home itself suffered severe damage along the adjoining wall and smoke in the interior," assistant fire chief Brent Wilson said.

"Nobody was living in the home, and the fire remains under investigation at this time. It is believed the owners have insurance."

West Kelowna responded with four engines, a command unit and a safety, along with BC Ambulance, RCMP, WFN Bylaw and Fortis.
