iN VIDEO: ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ producer offering $10,000 for successful reality TV show pitch

The producer of the popular reality TV show Rust Valley Restorers is on the hunt for new show ideas and is asking for submissions.

Tyson Hepburn, founder of Tyson Media Productions, is the co-creator and executive producer of several docuseries including Rust Valley Restorers and The Dog Dudes.

He's currently looking for new, unscripted ideas for original Canadian content.

The winner of the competition will receive $10,000 in funding and a development option deal with Tyson Media, according to the company's website.

Participants are asked to submit their ideas online before Jan. 8.

The ideas require at least one of the following: a demo video of the concept, a talent or host, access to a unique space or access to the rights of an interesting book, article or story that could be transcribed to TV.

Rust Valley Restorers features Tappen resident Mike Hall, an eccentric individual who restores old vehicles in-between rock blasting. You can watch it on Netflix or History Channel Canada.
