What’s happening this weekend in the Okanagan, Kamloops

Ready to get into the holiday spirit? There are plenty of events happening this weekend in the Thompson-Okanagan region to uplift the seasonal spirit.

KELOWNA

  • Immaculata Craft Fair – Join local artisans and crafters at Immaculata Regional High School on Nov. 8 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. Entry is by donation.
  • Craft Culture Holiday Market – Stop by the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort with a donation on Nov. 9 for a craft fair full of local talent. The event takes place from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.
  • East Kelowna Market: Christmas is the Country – Over seventy local artisans, crafters, makers, and bakers will be selling their holiday wears at the East Kelowna Hall on Nov. 9 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. Entry is by a $2 fee.
  • The Collective Holiday Market – Head to the very first Kelowna Winter Market at the historic Laurel Packinghouse on Nov. 9 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. Tickets are $5 each.
  • The Swiftmas Tour Brunch – Enjoy Taylor Swift with fellow fans and the magic of drag superstar Ella Lamoureux and Alberta’s premier Taylor Swift Illusionist Jane Hustle. The event is hosted at Friends of Dorothy on Nov. 9, starting at 11:30 A.M. Tickets are $10 each.

VERNON

  • First Friday Art Trail – Visit multiple galleries to celebrate art and life on Nov. 7 from 11 A.M. to 8 P.M. Entry is free.
  • Fall Long Table Dinner – Cambium Cider Co. is hosting eight chef curated courses with paired cider on Nov. 7 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Dinner is $165 per person.
  • Schubert Centre Winter Market – Head to the Schubert Centre on Nov. 8 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. for over forty local vendors, food, door prizes, and more. Entry is free.
  • Fused Glass Christmas Ornaments Class – Learn glass fusing as you make your own Christmas ornaments on Nov. 9 from 1:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Ticket prices vary.
  • Psychic Fair Vernon – Add some magic to your holiday season on Nov. 8 from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M at the Prestige Vernon Lodge. Admission is $5 cash at the door.

PENTICTON

  • Live Theatre: Cinderella – Many Hats Theatre Company and Showtime! Theatre Company are presenting Cinderella: A Traditional British Pantomime all weekend long. There are varying start times at the Cannery Trade Centre and tickets are $35 for adults.
  • Pottery Cheese Marker Workshop – Create your own cheese markers in time for the holidays on Nov. 8 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. and 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Hillside Winery & Bistro. Tickets are $70 each.
  • Holiday Live Wreath Workshop – Celebrate the start of the holiday season with your very own, handmade wreath on Nov. 8 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at Sahara Garden Art Co. Tickets are $55 each.
  • Heart Strings: A Love Story – Start of the season with a love filled evening at The Cleland Theatre on Nov. 8, starting at 7:30 P.M. Ticket prices vary.
  • Yuletide at the PTCC – Join the 7th Annual Yuletide Market at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre all weekend long at varying times. Tickets are $3 a day or $5 all weekend.

KAMLOOPS

  • Kamloops Players’ Annual Fall into Drama – Kamloops Players is performing “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” as their fourth annual “Fall into Drama” production. The play runs all weekend long at the Pavilion Theatre with varying start times and ticket prices.
  • Wonderstruck: Magic, Mind Reading, and Mystery – Savio Joseph is a “Canada’s Got Talent” finalist and is bringing his talents to the Paramount Theatre on Nov. 7 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. Ticket prices vary.
  • Misfit Night Market Before Christmas – On Nov. 8, the Grand Hall at TRU will be taken over for one evening of dark Christmas fun from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. Admission is free.
  • Valley Winter Market – Get your Christmas shopping done early on Nov. 8 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Sahali Mall. Admission is free.
  • Spaghetti Western – Not interested in the classic winter and holiday events? Try the 12th Annual Spaghetti Western Fundraiser at Colombo Lodge on Nov. 8 from 5:30 P.M. to 1 A.M. Tickets are $125 per person or $900 for a full table of eight.
