Case of COVID-19 identified at Kamloops high school

Westsyde Secondary is the latest Kamloops school to report a case of COVID-19.

An email was sent out to parents yesterday, Dec. 1, reporting a member of the Westsyde Secondary School community has tested positive for the virus and is now in self-isolation.

The school doesn’t say if the person who tested positive is a student, parent or member of the staff.

IH reported a case of COVID-19 at NorKam Secondary School last month.

Interior Health said it is conducting contact tracing to determine if anyone in the school community was in contact with the person while they were potentially infectious and will not contact those whose children are not at risk of developing COVID-19.
