NEW YORK — San Jose Sharks centre Macklin Celebrini, Utah Mammoth centre Logan Cooley and New Jersey Devils centre Jack Hughes have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.
Celebrini led the league with 10 points (five goals, five assists) in four games.
He had his second career five-point performance with three goals and two assists in the Sharks’ 6-5 overtime win over the New York Rangers on Thursday.
Cooley had five goals and three assists in four games as the Mammoth increased its winning streak to a franchise-record seven games.
Hughes had five goals and an assist in four games as the Devils (8-1-0, 16 points) moved to the top of the NHL standings by stretching their winning streak to eight games.
His week included his third career hat trick in a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs last Tuesday.
