Livestock investigators are searching for whoever shot and poached a calf near Merritt.
A steer calf was killed on Brookmere Road over the weekend of Sept. 26 and 28, according to a press release from police issued today, Oct. 21.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a substantial amount of evidence, RCMP said. The investigation is ongoing.
Recently, police were told there were two other cases of cattle poaching in Quesnel and Hixton, respectively.
