Kamloops man scores $5 million lotto prize

A Kamloops man has won the largest scratch and win prize ever in BC.

Toni Matc’s $50 Extreme Scratch & Win ticket, purchased at the 7-Eleven on Summit Drive in Kamloops, won the top $5-million prize.

He’s quoted in a BC Lottery Corporation media release issued today, Aug. 19, saying when he found out he won, “are those numbers really that big?”

The odds of winning a prize with a $50 Extreme ticket are 1:3:15, according to BCLC.
