iN VIDEO: Sheep slurps up watermelon to beat the heat in Kamloops

Animals can get heat stroke and die from heat exhaustion when summer temperatures sky-rocket but the owner of a busy farm sanctuary in Kamloops knows how to keep her animals cool.

Jaye Dueck of Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary on Shuswap Road feeds her roughly 60 rescued animals cold or frozen watermelon on the hottest of days.

When temperatures hit 37 Celsius on Sunday, Aug. 10, Dueck captured footage of an adorable sheep called Blue diving noisily into a bucket of watermelon.
