Everton signs Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Everton completed the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Premier League rival Chelsea on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old midfield player joined for a reported fee of around 25 million pounds ($33 million) and has signed a five-year contract.

“Everton’s one of the biggest clubs in the country, and I think that in the next couple of years, the future is going to be bright. It was an easy decision in the end to come here and play for this club,” Dewsbury-Hall said.

Everton has been busy in the transfer market this offseason, with Dewsbury-Hall the fifth major signing after Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou.

Dewsbury-Hall established himself at Leicester before joining Chelsea in 2024. But he made only two Premier League starts last season, 19 in all competitions.

He said the move to Everton had given him the “motivation and the extra determination to show everybody, to prove a point”.
