B.C. Hydro reports multiple power outages in Thompson, Okanagan

If you're watching the snow fall from the warmth of your home, you are one of the lucky ones. 

Numerous power outages have been reported across the B.C. Interior, likely due to fallen tree limbs on power outages, affecting thousands of customers.

B.C. Hydro reports outages near Sun Peaks, in West Kelowna and in Clearwater.

Near Sun Peaks north of the Trans Canada Highway, 462 customers have been affected since 10:30 a.m. Crews are on site, and power is estimated to return at 12:40 p.m. The cause is under investigation.

The power is out in West Kelowna, south of Ingram Road and east of Gellatly Road. There are 491 customers affected, and the power has been out since 11:08 a.m. The cause is under investigation, and a crew has not yet been assigned to resolve the outage.

There is also an outage South of Cougar Road, East of Brendalee Road, and West of Sunnybrae Road. The power has been out since 11:06 a.m. for 3294 customers, and a crew is on its way. The outage cause is under investigation.
