Kelowna cops seize cash and weapons in crackdown on drug dealers
Kelowna RCMP say they targeted drug traffickers in an operation that seized guns, cash and weapons last week.
Officers seized a rifle with ammunition, two replica guns, more than $3100 in cash, other illegal weapons, six cartons of illegal cigarettes, fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone, crack and methamphetamines on July 4, according to a press release from the RCMP.
“These projects and their respective seizures demonstrate our relentless pursuit of criminal offenders,” Cpl. Guillaume Tanguay said in the release. “With these dedicated policing efforts, we continue to focus on ensuring the safety and security of our community. Public safety is our top priority, and we will persist in taking decisive action against those who seek to disrupt it.”
Police also impounded an electric dirt bike for stunting when a youth was stopped for riding dangerously.
