Remaining Snowbirds to leave Kamloops

After a four month stay at the Kamloops Airport, the remaining Canadian Forces Snowbird jets will be returning to their home base in Moose Jaw, Sask.

The remaining six Snowbirds will be taking off later this afternoon, Sept. 17 and in the morning tomorrow, depending on weather conditions.

Residents in the Brocklehurst area can also expect loud jet noise this afternoon, as the Snowbirds will be conducting a test flight, according to a release.

The Canadian Forces are requesting the public refrain from gathering due to COVID-19, and extend their thanks for the support they have received from Kamloops and local First Nations in the wake of the Snowbird crash on May 17.
